January 15^th, 2007 - Caroline's bottom left lateral incisor broke through today.  It is her eighth tooth.

February 4^th, 2007 - This past week Caroline has begun clapping and waiving when she is asked to.

February 8^th, 2007 - Tonight Caroline took her first step.

February 9^th, 2007 - Caroline took two steps in a row tonight.

March 3^rd, 2007 - Caroline turned 1 year old today!  She had a party at home with her family.  In recent weeks she's begun taking up to six or seven steps at a time.  Her ninth tooth, her left upper canine, also came in today.

March 4^th, 2007 - Today Eleanor began using the potty.

March 7^th, 2007 - This morning Caroline said her first two words.  She waved to her daddy and said "bye-bye", and later said "Mama".

March 8^th, 2007 - Caroline had her 1year doctor's appointment today and is very healthy.

March 15^th, 2007 - Caroline had two new teeth come in today, one of her top canine teeth and one of her molars.

March 7^th, 2007 - Today Caroline said "daddy" for the first time.

April 28^th, 2007 - Eleanor and Caroline began swim classes today and had a great time.

April 29^th, 2007 - Caroline stared saying "No!" today, which is a good compliment for "Don't!" which she picked up some time ago.  (She's very good at telling her parents what she doesn't like.)
Also, during April, she had a new molar come in, giving her 12 teeth.

May 3^rd, 2007 - Caroline's 13^th and 14^th teeth, her bottom canines, broke through today.

May 11^th, 2007 - Caroline's bottom molars came in today, giving her 16 teeth total.

May 19^th, 2007 - Today Caroline said the word "ball" for the first time.

May 31^st, 2007 - Eleanor got her first haircut today.

June, 2007 - Caroline's birth appears in the Spring 2007 Vanderbilt Magazine.

June 7^th, 2007 - The girls had their doctor's checkup today (3 years/15 months) and are both doing great:

June 9^th, 2007 - Today Eleanor and Caroline flew on an airplane for the first time, from Nashville to Philadelphia, for their cousin Judi's 40th birthday party.

June 24^th, 2007 - Today Caroline said "Thank you" and has recently begun saying "Mama," "Dada," and "Uh-oh" regularly.  Unfortunately, she usually uses "Uh-oh" to indicate that she's just intentionally thrown her milk cup on the floor.

July 1^st, 2007 - Eleanor had an early birthday party today in Sanford, NC at the pool on the farm where her Gigi (Ray) grew up.

July 5^th, 2007 - Today Caroline said "cup".

July 10^th, 2007 - Caroline said "star" and "moo" today.

July 13^th, 2007 - Caroline said "book" today.

July 31^st, 2007 -Today Caroline said "snack" and has been learning her animal sounds, including "baa," "meow," "woof," and "neigh".

August 26^th, 2007 -Eleanor went to Sunday school for the first time today.  She learned about Joseph and the coat of many colors.

August 28^th, 2007 -Tonight Eleanor began reading three-letter words (e.g. Mat, Sam, sat) by sounding out the letters and putting the sounds together.

August, 2007 -This month Caroline has begun picking up new words, like "flower", "sister", "diaper", and "oval", very quickly.

September 8^th, 2007 - Caroline said her first sentence today: "Where are you?"

September 20^th, 2007 - Caroline had her 18-month doctor's appointment today and is very healthy.

December 18^th, 2007 - Today Caroline began using the potty.
